Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or as it is most commonly known, (ADHD) is a chronic condition that affects hundreds of thousands of children in the greater New York area. It may often continue into adulthood. ADHD includes a combination of challenges such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity, and impulsive behavior.

Here are some things you should also know.  Children with ADHD may also struggle with low self-esteem, troubled relationships, and problems in school even when things ARE normal. Some people never completely outgrow their ADHD symptoms, but they can learn ways to be successful!
