Kids Get Cabin Fever Too.

Cabin fever rears its ugly head about this time of year. These days, outside activities have taken on new meaning with the advent of cell phones and streaming video. However, cabin fever is still a very real thing that can isolate a child after school. New York/New Jersey child psychologist Dr. Steven Sussman would like to help you with cabin fever in your kid(s).

Here are some ideas to “reduce” cabin fever -

1.  Give them the opportunity to engage in vigorous exercise.

2.  Put some creative arts and crafts together.

3.  Libraries are still a good place to be.

4.  Turn OFF the TV!

Sometimes, a professional touch is needed to help your child out of his/her malaise. That’s where Dr. Steven Sussman comes in. For decades he has honed a style of child psychology that is “par excellence” in the field. Find out how his methods work for the modern kid by visiting his website sussmankids.com. What Do GenZ’rs Wish?

Have you asked a GenZ kid what they wish their parents understood? BuzzFeed did. What are some of the things they found? You can google this, by the way, but you will never have the real-world experience of dealing with GenZ’s (who are generally still kids in 2023) the way New York/New Jersey child psychologist Dr. Steven Sussman does.

Some of what they said are -

1.  Recovering from something is NOT the same as “getting over it”.

2.  Not every problem emanates from my cell phone.

3.  I won’t be able to afford a place of my own…EVER!

4.  We can’t stand it when you start a sentence with “back in my day”.

5.  Depression and anxiety are real.

There are so many more things that may be troubling your GenZ kid. Dr. Steven Sussman has dealt with all of them at one time or another. Have you? Real world problems begin to be dealt with by calling Dr. Steven Sussman at his Mountainside, NJ office at (908) 217-8106. To see his incomparable history, just visit sussmankids.com.
